For architecture/religious sites, there’s the Petrus and Paulus Cathedral, built back in 1885 or the Dutch Israeli Synagogue. If you prefer to walk through history from the comfort of indoors there’s the Nurismatic Museum or the Stichting Surinaams Museum. When it’s time to grab your souvenirs, head over to the Maroon Market or the Central Market. Other attractions include the presidential palace and the Palmentium with its royal palms, birds and monkeys.
