Midas Palace

Located in upscale San Isidro is Midas Palace. They offer few gaming machines and no table games but may serve as a decent rest stop for some light gaming between runs throughout the city checking out its sights. You can easily spend a day and evening exploring the region’s parks and gardens, restaurants and cafes, galleries and attractions when not shopping or hanging out at the casino. One of San Isidro’s primary attractions is the Huaca Hullamarca (or Pan de Azucar), a 4th century Hulla burial site, having also served as home to the Incans and Ishma. Casa Hacienda los Condes de San Isidro (or Casa Hacienda Moreyra) is a 300 yr old colonial manor with a chapel, cellar and catacombs. Parque el Olivar (the Olive Grove Park) is a national treasure and monument. Take some time walking the city, taking in the architecture and strolling through their green areas.

Gaming

The casino features a modest 200 gaming machines and zero table games. They’re open 24 hours daily, and can serve as a nice little break spot for some light gaming before heading back out into the city for some more sight-seeing.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site, however, one can be found a mere 40 feet away from the casino. The Roosevelt Hotel and Suites offers rooms in single, standard, and executive. Rooms contain a queen sized bed, air conditioning and internet. When touring the city, opt for one of the several other nearby hotels in the region you may come across.

Dining

There are no restaurants on site. One block from the casino you can find Paseo Colon. Try their salmon carpaccio washed down with a mojito. La Bistecca serves steaks and American-inspired cuisine. Ask a casino rep or hotel staff about any great local eateries or walk around finding one which draws your interest. Alternately, shop in one of the local markets and prepare a picnic lunch to enjoy in one of the parks or gardens scattered throughout the area.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Aside from the select few gaming machines, there is no entertainment on site. Check out nearby bars and cafes to soak up some local culture. Spend an afternoon shopping or checking out the gardens, parks and galleries. Local attractions include Casa Hacienda los Condes de San Isidro, a 300 yr old colonial mansion, Parque el Olivar, a national park, and Huaca Huallamarca, a pre-Incan pyramid and burial site.
