Try the molito de hongos (chicken with mushroom mole) or the pavo en pipian de cacao (turkey with pumpkin seed and chocolate sauce). La Casa de Maiz brings you southern Mexican comfort foods like tostados (sandwiches) and quesadillas. Vegetarians should head to La Zanahoria, with such menu items as beregena gratinada (eggplant with tomato and cheese). Look for Italian classics like pizza, risotto and gnocchi in Iannilli.

Attractions/NightLife

When the sun goes down the partiers come out. Hit one of the local clubs and kick up your heels. Options include Kokoloco and El Garage. Ananna Pop Bar can host up to 1500 people, but you might want to plan ahead and make reservations. For after-hours there’s Skizzo Electroclub. If you happen to be travelling with family, take the kids to Parque Plaza Seasamo (Sesame Street Park). Fundidora Park is fun for the entire family, with the hiking and jogging trails, artificial lake, and children’s playground. La Pinacoteca del Estado is an art museum, just 1.5 miles from the downtown centre, and showcases the artistic heritage of the region. If you’re looking for something a bit closer to home, hang back at the hotel sipping drinks pool-side.
