Both tourists and business travellers frequent Martinique, the former for its white sand beaches and various activities and Trois-Ilets, birthplace of Josephine, Empress of the French and wife of Napoleon, isn’t any different. Trois-Ilets, while having said beaches (like Anse Mitan and Anse a l’Ane) also has several attractions to keep tourists occupied. Visit the Pottery Village, La Savanne des Esclaves and the Museum of Coffee and Cocoa to build a better understanding of the region. And then of course, hit the beaches and all the fun activities that can be found there, like sunning, swimming, scuba diving and snorkelling. Various land sports can be also be found like hiking, biking and horseback riding. When you've had your fill of outdoor games, head inside and try your luck in the casino.

gaming

Step into the French Quarter-inspired décor of the casino and try your hand at slots and cards. They offer 70 classic and video slot machines and video poker terminals. There are also table games which run on Fridays and Saturdays and include craps, blackjack, stud poker, and American roulette. The casino itself is open daily and runs from the hours of 11 am until 3 am. After longs days hitting the beaches, head indoors for some slots and cards and try to pad your wallet to cover those drinks and dinners out in the evenings. A few extra bucks could fund some of the more pricey water sports like sailing and wind-surfing.

Hotel/Accommodations

The hotel offers 295 rooms coming in junior suite and senior suite, each equipped with air conditioning, satellite tv and balconies with views of the Fort-de-France bay. Facilities on site include an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, two restaurants, a bar, a club, private beach access and of course, the casino. The hotel is located on the south west side of the island and is about 25 km from the airport. Nearby activities include a golf course, and the hotel is about 35 km from the city of Fort-de-France.

Dining

For fine dining head to La Cocoteraie, located on the beach. If you’re interested in breakfast and dinner buffets, you want La Capitane. Dishes are regional. Ask about their themed dinners. Also with live entertainment. Creole cuisine can be found in La Case Creole. Ask casino and hotel staff about further dining options and recommendations on venues in town and sample the best Martinique has to offer.

Attractions/NightLife

> Find your favourite drinks in Bar Lele. DJs often spin Caribbean beats and international music so ask staff about which evenings are best. Those interested in outdoor activities won’t find the area lacking. Hit one of the beaches for any number of water sports like sailing, swimming, scuba diving, snorkelling, deep-sea fishing and kayaking. There’s also various land activities to be found like horseback riding, hiking, and golf. Check out some of the local attractions to get a feel for the region. These include the Pottery Village, the Museum of Coffee and Cocoa, the Pagerie Museum and the La Savanne des Esclaves. For something a bit more relaxed, you can always hang pool-side back at the hotel as you sip on your favourite cocktails or swim and sun on their private beach.
