Casino Fort Mahon Plage

Fort-Mahon Plage is a French commune located in the department of Somme and the region of Picardie, about 60 m from Boulogne-sur-Mer, and on the English Channel. Officially a resort as of 2006, tourists come for the sandy beaches and excitement during long weekends in summers. There’s beautiful landscape to be found, with the dune massifs, beach-front and Authie River. For its beautification efforts, the city received recognition in the Cities and Villages in Bloom competition. Tourists won’t be lacking for outdoor activities, especially those associated with the water, such as sailing, yachting, kite surfing, and kayaking. Of course, sunning and swimming are also available. Over in Belle Dune, there’re 18 holes of golf. Built in 1995, you can find 155 hectares of greens and ponds. Other outdoor land activities include cycling, hiking and horseback riding. For the family, there’s the water park. Local marine flora include the sea lilac and the samphire (sea bean) and marine fauna include mollusc, shrimp, moon snail and sea urchin.

Gaming

The casino offers a fleet of 50 classic and video slot machines and video poker terminals, ranging in denomination and starting as low as one cent. For table games, there’s blackjack, with its 2 EUR minimum bet and 100 EUR maximum. After long days out on the beaches, come indoors for a session of cards and slots. Hotel/Accommodations

Stay at the hotel-restaurant The Chipaudiere, ideally located facing the sea. They offer 18 rooms able to accommodate 2 to 4 people, equipped with most modern amenities. They invite you to lunch and dinner while enjoying spectacular sea-views indoors or on their open terrace. Ask about their ‘Special Weekend’ package. Your small furry companions are welcome to accompany you during your stay. Please note, the property is closed Mondays and Tuesdays February to June and September to November and closed annually from November 15th until early February.

Dining

Dine in the casino’s restaurant, back at the hotel, or choose from among various venues in town such as La Terrasse, located less than a half kilometre from the casino and serving up a variety of fresh seafood dishes with catch pulled right from the channel. Other restuarants include Auberge Le Fiacre with its modern cuisine, L’hippocampe, Auberge de la Louviere and La Hutterie.

Attractions/NightLife

Find all your favourite cocktails in the casino bar or in one of several in town such as La Bodega, Fahrenheit’s or Au Manhattan. Take the family to Pool Aquaclub with its whirlpools and water slides, or out for a round of mini-golf in Mini Golf 2000. Adults might enjoy 18 holes over at Belle Dune Golf. If you’d prefer a few games of pool there’s the Billiards Club. Other land activities include cycling, hiking and horseback riding. Head to the beach for sunning and swimming, or any number of water activities like sailing, kayaking or enjoying leisure time in a rented paddle boat.
