Overview

Once a symbol of slick and classy Italian style, Enzo Casino has sadly fallen from grace and it was all their own doing.

The story that follows is a cautionary tale of the importance of reading casinos’ terms and conditions…

…with an addendum that even that cannot quite save you from shady casino outfits’ bad intents.

Before we get to the gist of what actually happened and reiterate the entire situation that led to Enzo Casino being put on our warning list, let’s first say that, sometimes, casinos will define and present their T&Cs in a way that does not arise suspicion at first.

However, here is what each of our members need to be aware of:

Whenever you feel that some terms – withdrawal or bonus terms, for instance – are conveyed in ambiguous language and are open to interpretation, that’s when the casino is, most likely, trying to con you.

It is the duty of every well-intended casino operator to make their T&Cs AS CLEAR as possible! In other words, they should not make you feel as if you need to hire law representative that would interpret them for you.

The very purpose of terms and conditions is to provide clarity and a feeling of trust and ease to players, by keeping them well-informed on all the policy segments in their casino of choice. They are a safeguard, to players as well as a casino, making sure that everyone will adhere to their duties to mutual satisfaction.

The problem begins when this gets lost in a translation. Or isn’t there to begin with.

Integrity/Trustworthiness

Enzo Casino is a part of the Game Tech Group who gained unwanted notoriety when they aligned with the infamous AffPower – known for their involvement with fake and pirated software games.

One bad association and you’re marked – possibly for good. Because they belonged under a brand that was in cahoots with another problematic entity, the casino’s integrity was always problematic.

Enzo Casino DID look out and launched all the legit games on their platform…

…however, even though they seemed alright for a good amount of time, there was this uneasy voice in the back of everyone’s heads at LCB that kept us alert.

Player Complaints

Our worst assumptions came true when a loyal LCB member opened up a thread on our Forum, claiming he had over EUR 14,000 win baselessly, and completely without justification, confiscated by Enzo!

The management of the casino has cancelled his win – that he had full rights to – and he decided to take the problem to our Forum where it was further established that the player has not broken any terms and it was indeed the casino who was at fault.

Key takeaways from his complaints were as follows:

“After playing there last month I won an amount of 14.320 euro's. I made a deposit of 200 euro's and made use of their 150% first deposit bonus. They have a promotion that when you deposit with an e-wallet you get an additional 15% on top of the normal 150% first deposit bonus.
[…]
The terms and conditions of the bonus were quite clear that I could not bet more then 30% of the bonus amount in a single round. I chose to make bets of 25 euro's since the bonus had a wagering requirement of over 20.000 euro's.
[…]
A day later they then send me an e-mail that I had broken the term that you can not bet more then 30% of the bonus in a single round and they will take all of my profit and just put my initial deposit back in to my account. After asking for an explanation, since I did not break that term with my 25 euro bets, they told me that it was the 15% extra with an e-wallet deposit that was the problem.

They said that that's a separate bonus and since that bonus was 30 euro's I had broken the terms and conditions they have about bonuses. But I made a single deposit and got a total bonus amount of 330 euro's. It is also not possible to check your wagering and the status of bonuses you have so you are not able to see if they were separate bonuses. Another thing why I could not have broken the term is that I have not won with that bonus.”

The live chat support and the casino representative were evading player’s well-argumented questions and reasoning and decided to stick to their story, even though there was already plenty of evidence they were in the wrong.

It got messy (the entire argument was three Forum pages long), but the summary of the entire escalated situation was:

  • E-wallet offer can be interpreted as an addition to the bonus or a separate bonus – the reason being, T&C’s were quite confusing and unclear. This entirely invalidates the purpose of contractual agreement that terms and conditions provided.
  • Under a single balance, both bonuses and the first deposit are shown because the funds are joined and a player cannot differentiate between the two and doesn’t know which to use.
  • General T&C’s say the max bet cannot exceed 30% of the deposit amount, but the specific bonus terms contradict this and say that it’s 30% of the bonus value, not deposit.

Conclusion

We have the entire, original rogue report of this unfortunate case on THIS PAGE, so go there for the entire shebang.

Some months later, another development arose when, apparently, an agreement between the casino and the complainant was reached.

However, this was done in a very unprofessional manner, too:

First, it was not transparent as there was no official statement from the casino and, secondly – this happened three months after the original dispute, which isn’t the most expeditious way of solving problems, either.

For all the said reasons, Enzo Casino is NOT a recommended online casino. We suggest our members – and players in general – to look for their casino entertainment elsewhere.
