Yes, I won! Sao Paulo won the game 2-0 but I guess I was pretty lucky this time since Ceara played really well and even missed a penalty kick at 0-0. It was an extremely spectacular game, like most are in the Brazilian league, loads of chances on both ends and beautiful football throughout the 90 minutes.

Currently watching Djokovic vs Baghdatis, Djokovic has won the first set but Baghdatis leads 3-2 in the second and just started to serve.

Baghdatis won the second set but Djokovic fought on and won the following two, well done! David Ferrer also won his game so I have five games that went my way, two to go.

But you can stop counting, fifth seed Robin Soderling got beaten by Bernard Tomic in straight sets! This surely is an upset and it ruins my bet, I really wasn't expecting Soderling to get beaten this early in the tournament.

So close and yet so far.  Unlucky Johnny.

Thanks Blue but I was a bit sloppy, I knew that Soderling had some physical problems in the previous game but I assumed that he was back in shape. He obviously wasn't, I should have thought about that.

This week's bet has to be related to Wimbledon again, don't you agree? :) I thought about betting on one of the semi finals, then I thought about keeping the bet for the final but then I finally made up my mind: I placed a bet on the winner!

With four men left in the competition I think that one of them really stands out and that is Novak Djokovic. Nadal is the favorite, that's because he is the current ATP number 1, but I think that Nole will be the new number 1 after Sunday's final.

I just had a look at my original Wimbledon post for outright winner and the odds were 7/2 for Djokovic so it wasn't too much different to what you managed to get.

So true.  They were offering 40/1 as outright winner at Boylesports so I'm guessing it would have been just a little below that to reach the semis.

Looking good so far in the final, Djokovic has won the first two sets but played extremely well in the second set. Just one more set to win now, come on Nole!

Hm, not so good anymore... Nadal stormed through the third set and won it 6-1... I hope that Djokovic will get himself together in the fourth set.

It's time for a motorsport bet this week, I haven't place one on such events in a very long time and I decided that the British Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone would be a good opportunity to try.

The season was dominated by German driver Sebastian Vettel, he won no less than seven out of the eight races that were ran up to this point! I didn't watch all of them but I did get to watch a few and I admit that I was impressed with Vettel, he simply has no rivals this season. With that in mind I decided to bet on another win for the Red Bull-Renault driver although Mark Webber seems to be the favourite today.

This was a rather strange one, maybe because I didn't watch the second half of the race... Vettel was safely in the lead after more than 20 laps so I decided to switch on the Tour De France. The cycling stage obviously grabbed my attention and I forgot all about Formula 1, I was sure that Vettel was going to win. Then again... he didn't! Ferrari's Fernando Alonso came quicker off a pit stop and held on to win his first race of the season.

So sorry Johnny.  Better luck on your next bet.

It's time for a new bet, I have to admit that I had some trouble in finding a right one this week maybe because a lack of confidence after last week's losing bet. I decided to go for a baseball bet this time, I'm not an expert when it comes to this particular sport but I guess luck doesn't care about that.

The Texas Rangers have been particularly impressive lately, they won nine consecutive games and I think that they have what it takes to make it ten. They will be meeting the Seattle Mariners again, the team that they beat 4-0 yesterday. The Mariners have the home ground advantage but I believe that the Rangers are better and that they will prove it again.

This week's bet is all about soccer and that is because a big event is about to reach its climax tonight. I'm talking about the Copa America, the tournament that sees all the best national teams in South America battling it out to be the best on the continent. The top two favourites, Argentina and Brazil, were knocked out of the tournament in the quarter finals and I think it's not just an accident that the teams that beat them will meet in the final: Uruguay and Paraguay.

Uruguay seem to be the better of the two teams but a final is an unpredictable game. However, I think that the two teams will be extremely cautious and that the regular 90 minutes will end in a draw and send the match into extra time. Thanks Nan. It's not going too well at the moment though as Uruguay have scored an early goal. I hope that Paraguay will find the strength to fight back...

... and it's getting worse, Uruguay took advantage of an error and bagged another goal minutes before the interval. Paraguay are two goals down at half time and they'll need to sort themselves out but from what I've seen in the first half that's highly unlikely...

It's all over now, Uruguay have scored a third goal on a counter attack and they lift the Copa America! Congrats to them, a thoroughly deserved trophy!

It's true, I rarely get upset when losing a bet due to a great performance ;)

I decided to give Formula 1 and Sebastian Vettel another chance... You might remember that I lost a bet on Vettel a few of weeks ago, now it's time for him to make up for that ;)

The Hungarian Grand Prix will take place this afternoon and Sebastian Vettel is in pole position after recording the best time in the qualifying sessions. I strongly believe that he is going to win today's race, that is if he won't have any mechanical problems with his car.
