What Land Based Casinos Are Available in Your Area/Country?

I am curious to hear from members and share what casinos if any are available in your area or country or if there is none at all. The US has the largest amount of Casinos across the country and be interesting to know how they compare or if they are even allowed.

I know we have a lot of members from all over the world! Anyone out there that wants to share what Casinos are like where they live or if they are even available - pweeez?

              Here in Tampa, we have a dog track,  Hard Rock Hotel and Casino,  and in St. Petersburg another dog track.  Oh almost forgot, Tampa Bay Down's  horse track.   

Just a couple or so where I live.  There was one that I really liked but they shut that down and moved to bigger premises - I didn't like the new one so I've not been to that casino or any casino for ages....they aren't that great.

I like Grosvenor Casino in the UK. Some are locations better than others and they took over most of Gala Casinos so they've popped up all over.

I think that the best one in Belgrade is Grand Casino Beograd. It has great restaurants, as well. There are a couple bigger ones opened recently but Grand Casino is my favorite.

Meskwaki Bingo Casino & Hotel
This is an Indian ran casino, it's the only casino in the state that offers a little of everything.  They offer Slots, Video Poker, Video Blackjack, Video Roulette, Keno, Bingo, Live Poker Games (Omaha, 7 card, 5 card, Texas Hold'em), Live Table Games (Blackjack, Spanish 21, Pai Gow, 3 Card Poker, Craps, Baccarat, Let em Ride, Roulette, and Texas Hold'em Shoot Out), and a sports book for racing and sports bets.

Prairie Meadows
This is a city ran casino. They offer slots, video poker, live table games (Omaha, 7 card, 5 card, and Texas Hold'em), live table games (Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Roulette, 3 Card Poker, Let Em Ride, and Texas Hold'em Shoot Out).  They also offer live horse racing and offer a sports book for racing bets.

The Isle Waterloo
They offer slots, video poker, live table games (Blackjack, craps, 3 card poker, rapid roulette, and pai gow), I haven't really seen a poker room here.  Yet I haven't been to the upstairs part either.

Those are the local ones available to me.

My favorite place to play is Jumers in Rock Island, IL.  I just love there comp system and rewards I get frequently from them.

BTW, whoever wrote the Jumers review, has it not pinned correctly.  There no longer located on the river.  There now a land based site, and are located right off the 280 on the Rock Island exit.

Thanks for the correction Cheetah. Seems like more and more land based Casinos that were once River Boats or located directly on or near the water have moved. I think many states have lifted the strict water rule laws.

Thanks for sharing your favorite spots, you have definitely sparked my interest and will consider checking them out especially Jumer's Casino & Hotel

we have here in the netherlands, hollandcasino ( which is the biggest casino they are the only one with a licence they provide WMS, IGT, ARTISTOCRAT.) and we have some gambling halls, Jack's casino,Flash casino, Fairplay casino, krijco casino. the gambling halls always have novomatic as software and some have merkur games also very good games!

we have Genting , Grosvenor (previously gala) corinthian, alea in glasgow which are the biggest well known ones but also a few other smaller poker rooms also. i think the most you can win on the slots is around £4,000 and that's a maximum so it would be nice to play some slots when i get to the usa where you have the chance to win huge jackpots.

biggest and only casino in Latvia ir Olympic casino, pjp amounts sometimes is over 40k euro, but started from about 100 euro, around is another littles pubs with slots, but they are just for those who like beer with slot lol

Two (relatively) big casinos have been opened here - Havana Gambling, and Casino Favorit, which offers slot machines only. I still haven't been there, but first comments are positive.

I just read that 4 new casinos are coming to Hungary by the end of the year and a 5th in 2015.

Two of the four new casinos will be in Budapest, one in Debrecen and Nyiregyhaza.

Our Hungarian members will have to let us know what they think once they open.

Here in Sacramento,CA we have have Thunder Valley and RedHawk Tribal casinos which are both within 10 miles of city limits.Both casino's stand there own with the big Nevada casino's and there are numerous others within an hours drive.

I used to live near Temecula in California (close to San Diego) where they had a casino called Pechanga, which had odd ways of replicating certain table games. Eg, Roulette which is one of my Fav's used Playing Cards which are not vissible untill the dealter removes the card from the slot where the "Ball's replacement mechanism" stopped. showing the value of the card, as if it was a roulette number.

The playing cards were like Roulette numbers and colors. so no Aces Jacks, etc. Just numbers 0-36 and ordered accordingly.

Oh yes, and an interesting one, There was also a casino in the area called Mile High. - Was quite cool to officially get your Mile High membership card when you sign up!

I now live back in South Africa, where there are quite a number of Casinos to enjoy (away from home).

In the Pretoria and Johannesburg area (centrally located in the country) there are a variety of casinos from within minutes to an hr or so's drive. The Most popular ones are Emperors Palace & Monty Casino as they are most accessible. There are then still Carnival City, Marula Sun, Carosel and Sun City which are all LARGE CAsinos (Like the Vegas Equivalent Types), there are no Small hole in the wall casinos allowed or so I am to believe as I've never seen or heard of any.

Just recently visited Durban area Also in South Africa,  East Coast area, where there were Multiple Large Casinos to enjoy, Sibaya, Southern Sun, Wild Cost Sun, Golden Horse to name a few,

In The Eastern Cape region  in Port Elizabeth where we also recently discovered and visited the Boardwalk Casino, while on holiday. It's built in/on a Waterfront Mall Like setup( across the street from the beach. (nice touch) - however I lost a couple hundred

All These casinos have the same standard machines (in my perspective) and NONE of them have KENO! I'm Bummed because I used to LOVE Playing Cleopatra's Keno and It's NO-WHERE to be found in any of these. I hope they get them someday!

but anyway, they have the standard SLot Machines, starting from small change to Prive Sized Coin (ALL CARD Based Machines, Cash out at the Cashier from your players card (or Alternative Card Machine that works like an ATM with your players card). 
Standard Table games like Roulette, Poker and Blackjack (and some other varients of card games available also.)

All Casinos here have Smoking and Non smoking sections and they are serrated by glass doors and glass walls (Multiple Floors high, within the casino ). so, it's like splitting a casino up into two parts basically. Most have all the games in both smoking and non smoking.

Parking usually cost R10 unless if you have a Gold Players card (which requires a lot of gambling,. but at least your car is watched after.

Back in the day, Drinks used to be free while gambling. Now, you can request a drink and depending on how much you are playing, the Host will make a call on that request. I used to be able to request a free pack of cigarettes from the host while playing tables, back in the day, however they stopped that completely a few years ago..

Thats a pretty decent share of Gambling in South Africa, there are still MANY Casinos that I've failed to mention and probably never heard of, however I would only assume that they would stand up to the expectations set by the others.,

I have been to Sun City  couple of times in 2010 ( yes during the world cup ).  I actually think that was my very first land based casino ever.

And I was impressed
