Whenever i go the Casino i always tell myself, i am only going to spend x amount of dollars and will NOT go to the ATM or write a check at the cashier. If i lose then i am going straight home. I say this every time i go! I mean every SINGLE time i go. And what is amazing is i trust myself i won't! Then without fail i am at the ATM machine when i lose!
I am curious to know how many members are good to stay within their budget when they go to the casino? Do you forget every promise you made to yourself on the way there or do you develop amnesia like i do?

I have thought of doing that Mike but it doesn't work for me because i can go to the cashier and write a check and they have a system that lets you write them without an actual physical check. So not bringing my check book won' help either. I have thought the best way is not to bring in my ID to write one but then if i win a Jackpot they may ask for it. In most cases they don't though cuz if you have won already you are in the system and only need your players card.
I do have enough willpower to never go beyond what i can spend but i always spend more then i intend! -

Yep this happened when i used to gamble in the local arcade, cash machine was my second home
I don't think anything we say to ourselves would actually make any difference it is down to each of our own will power i think, if we got will power then we wouldn't need to worry about it, but if we don't then lets just throw the rule book out of the window -

I have only been to 1 actual casino years back and I don't think they had a cash point anywhere near it.
What gets me gambling wise is the pub fruit machines. They are compensated machines so more often than not you know if its going to pay out. If you get onto the feature board and don't take a feature or cash amount it offers then the next time you get up, it will offer more until either it forces you to take jackpot or you collect something.
Used to be where I had a decent board with profit. Had 1 more number spin which gave a sudden "game over". Having no change left I would have to go to the cash point even though I never intended to take any cash out for gambling.
Stopped playing them altogether now though after 1 time I had to go to the cash point. I asked some guy to watch the machine and make sure nobody else went on it. I can back though and he was on it and had taken the jackpot -

Here is what's worse that i do...........
The Casino gives VIP players access to a ATM machine that doesn't charge any type of fee so it is basically free. Instead of going to the VIP lounge where it is, which is only 50 feet from where the Video Poker section is i go to the machines that are steps away and pay the $5 fee! God forbid should i lose any extra play time or have someone steal my machine!
Its those times that getting out extra cash pays off that i am glad i did it, but when it doesn't pay off and i have made my third trip to the ATM and cashier that's when i want to drive my car off a cliff on the way home and ask myself "what in the world is wrong with you"! -

Ya know, when I started my gambling career I used to bring my ATM card.
Yet now I just leave it in the car, in hopes that the extra walk helps me cool down. Then leave without wanting to grab it and head back inside.
So far that method has worked for me.
I can't write a check to the casino, so that method is a no go for me anyways. So I don't have that temptation.
Really the only time I have any strong temptation is if i I just got down the casino and go broke within the first 30 minutes of me arriving. Imaging going thru $50 on low level spins that fast.
Yet then I remind myself that it just wasn't my day as I take the walk to the car and drive away. Knowing I was smart enough. -

50 bucks lasts a bit longer on Slots than it does Video Poker that has three lines or more only. I can go through 50 bucks in 5 minutes flat on Video Poker. It is a bit pricey but the payouts are much better and come along more often then slots.
However i do have my moments i like to spin the reels especially if i am going on a shoe string!
