Going to Atlantic City!

Hiya LCB'ers,

Heading to Atlantic City this weekend. It's crazy because i not a regular player at any of the Caesar's Entertainment Casinos but i received a postcard offering me a free flight and free room! But not only  for a one time deal but UNLIMITED times during May, June, July and August!

I won't take them up on the "unlimited" trips until i see how well i do this weekend! This is my second Free trip to Atlantic City. The last time i went was about 2-3 years ago.

I'll be staying at Harrah's Casino there which is pretty cool because they have an awesome indoor pool there that is under an atrium complete with palm trees!

Plan on taking in a few sights while i'm there and have already booked a cruise for dolphin watching to eat up a bit of my time and not all my money!

If anyone has been there and can offer any places worth seeing please let me know.

I leave on Friday and will be back on Monday and will have Casino blog on my stay there!

Sounds like a great time lips. I could use a dip in a pool right about now it's so hot. The dolphin watching sounds like an amazing thing to do.  Have fun and I wish you tons of luck!  Win, win, win!

I am in AC a lot...I live about 50 mins. away.  When I am there, I am usually in the casinos, on the boardwalk or on the beach.  I did book the cruise for the dolphins one time, but i never made it there...I was too busy in the casino...lol

Since you are staying at Harrah's you will be on the marina side of AC. The Borgata is over there and the Golden Nugget.  To get to the other side where most of the casinos are (The Taj Mahal, Revel, Showboat, Caesar's, Bally's, Tropicana, Resorts etc)  you would have to take a jitney...they cost $2.25 and they can take you most any place in AC.  The boardwalk is on this side too..lots of shops for trinkets and souvenirs

Also, if you hit it big check out the Atlantic City Shopping Outlet Stores.  Almost every store imaginable...
Sorry I can't be more help with AC attractions...as you can see I only go for the gambling and beach.

I'm quite amazed how much your casinos give away.  I've never been given anything by any casinos over here even though I belong to a couple of them.

I looked up jitney - it says its bus carrying passengers for a low fare.

yes...blue is right.  a jitney is a small bus that runs in AC.  they cost $2.25 to board.  you can get one on the side of Harrah's Casino or ask a casino employee and they will tell you exactly where to find one.  they stop at all the casinos.  but make sure you read the signs (in front of the bus stop) it will tell you to what casino that jitney will take you.

i hope i haven't made this confusing, because it's not.  i wish i was going to be there this weekend but i won't be in AC for another 2 weeks...(hopefully...lol)

Wonder how lips is doing on her trip to Atlantic City.  I am sure she is having a blast and in addition, I hope she is killing them at the video poker machines.

I haven't heard a peep out of her since she's been there. I hope that's because she's too busy winning!

lol if I had Atlantic City at my finger tips, the only thing I would be using a computer for while there.  Would be to check my bank balance or see if anything important came in via e-mail.  Otherwise I'd be out living it up and enjoying myself.
I'm sure lips is having a wonderful time.  I hope.

I am bacckkk!! And had a total blast. Exhausted with probably a total of 12 hours sleep the whole time i was there. And did i make it to the boat trip to see the dolphins? Heck noooooo who had time when there was so much gambling going on!

I learned real quick what a "jitney" was and on one night in particular we hopped on the wrong one and took us an hour and a half to get to a Casino that was 5 minutes away! 

Will be writing a Casino Blog in the day couple days to tell about my trip!

I guess lipstick won few millions $ and is too busy with buying shoes, dresses and jewelry to keep us informed  (at least I hope that's a reason  )
