I actually have 9 little Valentines , when i was a little girl my mother would always get me a card and candy , it was always candy hearts and Goetze caramel creams also know as bulls eyes . Not a year of her life went by that i didnt receive them from her. I started the tradition with my own four children . When I started getting grandchildren I did the same for them little did I know I would have 9 and another on the way. I have cute boy tins and cute girl tins , they all get the same thing. I make their cards in January and make sure all the tins are back. Just a few get shipped but I make sure they arrive on time. This year I even had one go to the University of Florida to the oldest Grandson . HE loves the Goetze's . They are my lttle hearts and I can't imagine life without the warmth of their love. . I miss my Valentine more than I could ever say but my Grandchildren keep me busy and thinking of the time I will see him again ,

  This particular question i also considered carefully and in my past choices of gentleman callers none of them had any money ,  they all were lacking a high school diploma,  there physical features were all simple and basic so that leaves a good sense of humor  which as i reflect was Definitely  what  attracted me because even though we were poor there was never a dull moment and smiling  makes the heart sing  and the soul dance  ..................  this can not be replaced with money ,looks , or a bookworm....

Not so much Looks but a Look! The look in the eyes that say "You interest me" The look of intelligence , the Look that says "I am a good sport and enjoy a good joke". The Look of Love or Lust and Passion as well. It is all in the eyes . They are the Windows to the soul

I haven't experienced that yet because I've never left the continental US. Vegas was awesome though.

Where is your most romantic getaway?

Unfortunately, for me and my girl the most romantic getaway is only a fantasy.
We both love the movie "Stardust", so a romantic holiday in Stormhold with a drink at the Slaughtered Prince would be great.
A compensation would be the Isle of Skye or something similar in Great Britain to get in the right mood. (but not in february)

  The place for me would most positively have to be Disney' Lands Magical Kingdom...  all the other places I could of suggested  would have not been me  I  wanted to say where it was that i would  be most happy  in love and and Disney Land  is the Happiest place on Earth  .... From there spectacular fireworks display's ,, To there theme Park rides that takes You on a new adventure with each one  more exhilarating  than the mind could imagine ..  It may not win your prize butt this answer  I gave to you with all honestly    from inside..!!!!...  I guess I'm just,,,,and always will be ,,,,,a great Big kid inside.......

I've never been there because i didn't had money but this it will be for sure for me and my wife the most romantic gateway: PARIS. Maybe i will win a trip, you never know.

If  your referring  to material things ,  puppy  dogs  ,  or kittens  ,  or what the stork  will bring  than absolutely.  Has for eternal love with just one look only in a fairy tale book...

From my personal view - No.
For sure it can happen that there will be real love, but from my own experience it needs a lot more time than a "moment".
It took me almost three years to realize that I already met my one and only love.

I listen'd this 5+years ago when i broke up with my first gf it was on valentine day also. So tomorrow its 6 years, still not okay from it but i got somthing much better family that loves me and i love them : )

I want to say looks, because I am attracted by them (duh).

However, I think Sense of Humor probably wins out.  It usually  never goes away whereas looks, money, and in some ways intelligence, can turn south pretty easily.

I don't know what to say about this. With my wife it wasn't love at first sight. We were friends for a long time and we discovered in time that we must be togheter. Where is your most romantic getaway?


I would have to say at home. it is a lot of hassel to  travel. Your things get lost or stolen. You spend a lot of money. You forgot to pack some thing , the wait at the airport , Places over crowded. Living out of a suit case. worring about the kids ( mine are grown up now ) I would rather stay at home and be waited on hand and foot without anyone coming over or calling and spend the day watching movies and napping and maybe a little nookie...lol .while someone else does all the other daily stuff for me and my b/f. Just a day to our selfs. i would probably forget if i had a romantic getaway anyways my memory is not very good anymore as i age.lol.

Will you be my Valentine? Just wanted to take a moment to Thank you for the awesome contest. My life is painful sometimes without my Valentine but I would not change a second of the time we Did have together . I dont like to think about him too much it makes me sad but  it was wonderful to share some of the wonderful times we had with my friends here. I have read so many heart warming stories and thoughts . /thank you for letting me share my heart with you

None. If i need to go and be picky about any of those i will die alone. Every woman have something beatiful to give.

Otherwise we would not exist at all since at the beggining of human kind those didnt even matter.

But if i need to reply, lets say:

Looks? every woman is beatiful in her way. ( speaking at the guy side )

Money? What? Who cares about money in love?

Intelligence ? Intelligence is relative, a person who thinks is intelligent can pick someone who thinks is intelligent. Intelligence doesnt counts because of that.

Sense of humor? the same as intelligence, every person has a particular sense of humor, thats because we are humans, anyone have at any point sense of humor, some more some less but everyone have it and like intelligence , a person who have some kind of sense of humor will think and like a person with a similar one that fits him-her. All relative.

Who is my Valentine?  My husband.  Unfortunately I didn't have a very romantic Valentine's Day.
Hubby got the flu.  Instead of going out to a nice dinner, I was at Walmart buying soup and 7 up.  He went to be at 7pm.  Whoo-hoo... Bring out the lingerie.   NOT!
