Sweden-based Evolution Gaming, world-class provider of live dealer content, has recently entered into an agreement to acquire the entire proclaimed share capital of Megaways developer Big Time Gaming!
By making this move, this live casino giant strengthens its determination to solidify its position as the leading supplier of high-quality iGaming products, and…
...acquiring BTG's original game portfolio and innovative tech solutions will indeed help them with that!
Per the agreement expected to close before the end of Q2 2021, Evolution will add another vital member of the iGaming corporation, Big Time, for a total consideration of up to €450m, payable in cash and shares!
While they will pay an estimated 70% of the sum in cash, the remainder will be covered in newly issued Evolution shares that will be valued based on the trading index on NASDAQ Stockholm at the time of issuance.
Following the recent successful acquisition of NetEnt, finalized on December 1, 2020, Evolution is on a roll, acquiring another giant whose online titles include global player favorites such as Bonanza and Extra Chilli, and the ground-breaking Game Mechanic Megaways™ engine allowing players 117,649 ways to win, so far incorporated in over 200 games from various software providers!
Jens von Bahr, Evolution chairman, commented:
“With the addition of Big Time Gaming to our portfolio of slot brands, we strengthen our strategic position as the leading provider of digital casino games in the world.”
He next added that Big Time Gaming’s dedication to creating unique player experiences would fit well in Evolution’s culture.
“We look forward to continuing our journey together!”
Expectedly, Big Time Gaming CEO Nik Robinson welcomed the news with equal excitement, explaining that both Evolution and BTG share a drive for innovation and improving the overall experience and are therefore a perfect match.
