Scientific Games' subsidiary, SG Digital, has announced several executive promotions that will usher its progress into the new year and solidify their leadership.
As the PASPA repeal continues to have an unprecedented effect on the US gaming market with states continuing down their path of sports betting and online gambling liberalization, SG has penned a plethora of coalitions with brands such as Kindred and Lightning Box.
The company’s leadership changes are aligned with the reshuffling of SG Digital's lottery division.
Departing CEO of SG Digital, Matt Davey, will be replaced by Jordan Levin, current Senior Vice President for corporate development...
...Levin was among those who helped launch SG Interactive and has been the driving force behind the acquisition and integration of NYX. He will take over the duties of Group Chief Executive and Executive Vice President at the end of the year.
Jordan Levin joined Scientific Games in 2006 and was a pivotal figure behind the company's interactive and digital strategies and implementation of them – he has come up with various business development solutions and operations where his 12-year experience in the industry has proved invaluable.
His responsibilities will include “defining the business group's overall strategic direction and overseeing all functions of the business.” His in-depth knowledge of digital gaming and sports betting as well as general business acumen will help SG Digital cultivate further culture of success and benefit from opportunities on new markets.

...Former Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive, Jim Kennedy was named Chairman, Lottery.
Also, Patrick McHugh – current Senior Vice President of Global Lottery Systems is a new Lottery Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive. McHugh has been a part of the industry for more than 25 years and has a high level of expertise and prowess in gaming systems technology in global markets.
He will be responsible for the global lottery business and will assist Kennedy in growing existing relationships and make new lottery partnerships in the US and worldwide.
According to Jim Kennedy: “I'm incredibly proud of what we have built at Scientific Games, which I believe is the number one lottery company in the world. We provide our lottery customers the best games, products and services in the industry. I look forward to continuing to help our customers drive record growth for their states and countries as Chairman of the lottery business.”
Citing the wealth of experience in sports betting, digital gaming and interactive segments the three new executives all possess, Scientific Games' President and CEO, Berry Cottle, said that these “long-time members of the SG family are the best people to continue the growth trajectory.”
