Red Tiger Gaming Certified Ahead of Swiss Online Gambling Market Launch on July 1st

Back

Switzerland's iGaming market is about to embark on its long-anticipated road, after being green-lighted last year – and Red Tiger Gaming will be a part of its journey, as it becomes one of the first suppliers to be certified in this country.

The company's official press release states that they will be present when the market officially opens on July 1st with over thirty of their best-performing games that just got approved by local authorities.

The Process Begins

In the summer of 2018, Switzerland brought forward The Gaming Act – a revolutionary measure in a sense that it legalizes online gambling in this country, for the first time ever...

...but was also quite marred in controversy in that it bans foreign operators from participating and only takes local land-based casinos into account when giving away online gambling licenses. It also permits government to intervene by authorizing internet providers to block nationals' access to foreign gambling sites.

The said legislation came into full effect on January 1st after being voted for on a referendum (with 73% votes in favor).

Potential operators already began submitting their license requests – four land-based properties have recently done so in hopes of kickstarting the historical gaming vertical in this prosperous Central-European country.

Red Tiger Gets In On It

The supplier will expand into this region as well, having recently secured partnership agreements with 888 Casino and ComeOn...

...in fact, the Isle of Man-headquartered software organization has recently been quite active with commercial expansion all throughout the Old Continent. Besides entering the regulated markets of Sweden, Italy and Denmark, they've also clinched a deal with bet.pt regarding Gibraltar operations.

In November last year, Red received the ISO27001 safety and security certification...

...and with this latest seal of quality approval, they're ready to take on the youngest gaming market in Europe by going live with a number of local operators.

Always Looking to Expand

The developer’s commercial director, Chris Looney, said:

“We are looking forward to launching in Switzerland, and are excited about the opportunities that the country presents. Red Tiger is always looking to expand its reach in regulated markets. As a result, we are well-set to offer operators a portfolio of games that are proven revenue generators elsewhere.”

Red recently presented its brand-new slot offering, Mystery Reels Megaways. Their CEO, Gavin Hamilton, also briefly touched upon the recently concluded successful B2B casino licensing process in Gibraltar:

“We’re delighted to have been given the seal of approval by the Gibraltar regulator. Obtaining a licence and establishing a presence in Gibraltar is a logical progression for us as our business in Gibraltar continues to go from strength to strength, with big operators like BetVictor, Addison Global and 888 already added to our long client list there this year.

“This continues the great momentum that Red Tiger has gathered during the course of the last 12 months, and follows the award of similar licences in Malta and Alderney.”
