PlayOJO Takes Two Recognitions Social Media Awards 2021

Popular online casino PlayOJO has just earned two accolades at the Social Media Awards 2021 beating the leading brands in the industry such as Sky and Superdrug. The company is known as one of the fair bingo sites which have grown from strength to strength to become one of the leading brands in the industry.

PlayOJO was shortlisted for two categories – Best Use of Instagram and Best Use of Social Media – for its Compulsion campaign which includes celebrity favorite Gemma Collins and increases awareness around problem gambling issues.

The campaign is focused on the delivery of a faux fragrance, compulsion, to accentuate problem gambling as the “addiction with no smell”. Following the new campaign, Gemma spoke to Breakeven charity to understand problem gambling and how it can influence young people.

They also created an acronym – SMELL (Sleep, Money, Extreme, Losing, Lying) – to support concerned customers or their loved ones notice if they have a gambling problem. The campaign also includes a number of videos shared across social media.

PlayOJO brand was shortlisted together with UK’s largest names such as Hilton, Sky, and Superdrug.

The Social Media Awards is a dedicated program that celebrates the creativity and innovation that is included in accomplishing powerful social media campaigns. Categories are judged by the respected panel of leaders and experts as part of a two-stage process.

What Was Stated in the New Recognitions

Speaking on the latest recognitions, Head of Digital at PlayOJO, Samit Dutta, says that it’s an honor to have taken home two awards from the reputable Social Media Awards 2021. They faced stiff competition, so they are thrilled that the Compulsion campaign arrived at the top.

According to Dutta’s words, compulsion is one of the most important and campaigns to date, taking care of problem gambling and supplying players and families with the support and guidance to control their play or get help if needed.

She added:

“Social media is a powerful platform for ensuring campaigns hit the right audience and at scale, and with Compulsion, we were able to leverage this to drive awareness and education around the issue.

This is another huge recognition for PlayOJO after it was featured in the 2021 SoundOut Index for holding one of the most recognized logos in the UK. The company has also earned the award for EGR Bingo Marketing Campaign.
