Play’n GO is today celebrating the entrance to the regulated market of the Netherlands, but only four days before making a strategic partnership with Holland Casino, the developer has released an ice-fantasy slot, inspired by the Japanese mythology, called – The Legend of the Ice Dragon.
This story has been passed down through generations of folklore. Nonetheless, the studio’s first title for November will offer you a chance to join some locals who laid eyes upon the vast treasure that the Ice Dragon protects and tame the beast to retrieve a share of its riches.
If you remember a piece of the action in fast-paced and highly volatile Wild Frames, released by Play’n GO in December 2019, get ready for a new round of chain reactions! Legend of the Ice Dragon is quite similar to this earlier, groundbreaking title, where wilds have the power to land on the grid and leave behind a frame.
However, landing a wild within a frame increases the multiplier, and your goal is to fill the charge meter. Once it’s full, all the wilds collected along the way will be revealed, ultimately leading to an epic win as they explode onto the screen!
Meanwhile, other features can destroy, transform or add wilds in the same style. There are three non-win features on board, named Hailstorm, Avalanche, and Blizzard.
The rich narrative and graphic details in The Legend of the Ice Dragon are in line with other remarkable titles from the studio’s compelling library, immersing the player deeper into the icy fantasy land, inspired by the Japanese mythology, folklore visuals and a snowy mountain backdrop.
“Wild Frames was a favorite of ours and players alike, and the idea was to release a complementary title that went one step further,” explains head of games Charlotte Miliziano in a nostalgic way.
She also emphasized the game’s impressive narrative, followed by incredible, stunning visuals and epic audio, including the adrenaline-pumping overcharge feature for added excitement.
The Legend of the Ice Dragon is available from 4 November at all affiliate casinos hosting content from the award-winning provider.
In a recent interview on how the studio keeps gaming fun by choosing what story to make, Miliziano explained that players, entertainment and safety are at the heart of everything they do.
According to her, Play’n GO focuses exactly on these three principles due to their capacity to spark consumer engagement and connect players with characters, consistent visuals, and in-game features they can rely later on.
However, the developer is not into adding all features to its games, as some of them are not consistent with true entertainment, fun, and player safety, she said, such as Bonus Buys or Blitz, to name a few examples.
The head of games also revealed that her team creates games that players know and trust. They invest in more than just the surface of the game while strong narratives pave the way for authentic visuals and characters to find their way to the player, time and time again, concluded Miliziano.
