Grand Parker Casino - CLOSED 7/2015 Review

Back

Throughout history, some royal rulers were wise and just; others, well, they were just completely crazy; from the inbred and mentally deficient to the delusional and the criminally insane. Some are well-known, like “Ivan the Terrible” of Russia, who enjoyed torturing people. There were some less famous, but equally twisted, like Hungary’s Erzsebet Bathory, who believed she could improve her complexion by bathing in the blood of young girls. Many have inspired countless stories, books, plays and films. Thinking about queens, I’ve read a lot about Anne Boleyn and Mary Tudor I, someone should definitely make slots about them. I have some ideas about what they should look like. Hint: not for those of faint heart.

But until that happens, I like to visit Grand Parker Casino and play some other “queen” slots. With $60 on my account I started playing the “Mermaid Queen” slot. Except from a few good wins, one being $3.57, the slot delivered nothing and I lost $30 in just a few minutes. I don’t know why I kept spinning; I guess like everyone else, I hoped that something good was going to happen. Unfortunately, it was one empty spin after another, rather pathetic for a queen, don’t you think?

When I finally came to my senses I changed the slot and played the “Mayan Queen” slot. It was way better. Even during the base game I regularly had wins over $1 thanks to the Substitute, which wasn’t bad at all considering that my bet was $0.25. I got 5 Free Spins twice winning a decent sum of money, $4.30 and $5.60 respectively. I should say that the Substitute doubles the prizes which is why it has always been one of my favorite features. Importantly, I managed to recover my balance a bit, from $30 to $43. So, at the end it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The queens have encouraged me to keep playing, after all.
