October 15th marks the beginning of this year's iteration of G2E event held in Las Vegas – the largest gaming fair in the US. Austrian iGaming giant Novomatic will be present at this gathering where it will unveil a string of products.

Apart for brand new games aimed at different global markets, the company will show the latest progressive jackpots, casino management systems, sports betting technology (ActionBook), online and social gaming titles and much more.

A Full Scope of Activities

This will be Novomatic's third appearance at this prestigious event...

...and this year they will be displaying their portfolio at a joint stand with Australian brand Ainsworth in which Novomatic holds a majority stake.

Novomatic's CEO Harald Neumann said of this year's event:

“The United States are an important growth market for NOVOMATIC – together with Ainsworth we intend to significantly increase our market share in the medium term. This is why we are once again presenting ourselves together this year.”

Among other gaming titles, the provider will be displaying Samurai Beauty. US sports betting liberalization made the local market all the more important to Novomatic, says Neumann. He said that the company was following the US sports segment development with great interest for years.

“Because of this, NOVOMATIC cooperates closely with international service providers of sports media and sports betting to further develop our innovative line of sports betting products and solutions. These will be showcased in a separate section of the NOVOMATIC booth. Therefore, innovations and our presence at the G2E are key factors for success.”

In addition to the display of their full portfolio...

...Novomatic will be supporting the Return to Player 5k Glow Fun Run in Las Vegas together with American Gaming Association and Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers.

RTP is also launching the American Games Fair and this charity run will be open to all attendees, visitors and staff.

Gaming Technology Group Sold to Inspired Entertainment

At the beginning of October, Novomatic announced it completed the acquisition of the Gaming Technology Group, a former Novomatic division.

Executive Chairman of Inspired, Lorne Weil, has said that this acquisition if transformational for Inspired because it unites two complimentary businesses to create a company that will be a leader in gaming industry.

He praised their innovative content, state-of-the-art technology and an expansive footprint.

Poor Performance in Germany and Italy

Novomatic has reported a 1.8% decrease in revenue during this year's first half. This has boiled down to changes of regulatory environment in Germany and Italy.

The January 1st – June 30th period saw them collect a EUR 1.26 billion revenue. Germany's amended State Treaty on Gaming and Italy's tax hikes impacted company's turnover negatively.
