Novomatic To Implement IGT's Patented Game Features

Casino aggregator and industry giant, International Game Technology (IGT,) have signed a unique deal with leading Austrian gaming concern, which will entitle Novomatic to integrate patented game features and enhance the quality of its far-reaching products. A cross-license agreement includes an ongoing fee but no further details have been published.

Through the integration of innovative game features, IGT will boost its global expansion tendencies whose results have proven to be very successful in North America. Thomas Graf, chief technology officer at Novomatic is pleased that the creative capacity of the company will be significantly improved, leading to a much larger database of players and yearly revenues in regulated gaming markets.

In a statement regarding the agreement with Austrian casino moguls, IGT’s senior vice president, Michael Prescott, said that adding an industry leader to a comprehensive group of software developers is crucial to building a portfolio with global patent signatures. An extension of industry-wide innovations is achieved through agreements with peers whose number has decidedly increased in recent years. Scientific Games, Aruze Gaming, AGS, Konami and Incredible Technologies have also sealed a similar deal with IGT, which even caters its features to Australia’s Ainsworth Game Technology.
