Africa's leading online gambling operators, Betika and BetLion have secured a deal with games and platform provider, Nektan, regarding the distribution of slots and table games and business-to-business, E-Lite platform.
Using it, both operator companies will be complimenting their existing sports offering with hundreds of HTML5 slots and table games adjusted to both desktop and mobile devices.
This also marks the supplier’s first-ever entry to the African continent.
Both BetLion and Betika have a very significant presence across the entire continent of Africa...
...and are among seven operators in Kenya that had their license renewed by the local authorities – Kenyan Betting Control and Licensing Board.
As for Nektan, this launch heralds another important step for them. They continue to develop and spread their extensive network across the globe and with multiple jurisdictions and emerging markets such as that of Africa.
In the process, they do not forget about the profitability – they expect the revenue tipping point to happen either later this year or early next year.
Nektan's founder and executive director, Gary Shaw, comments:
“Africa is an emerging market that is rich with possibilities and presents us with opportunities to build our international expansion. As we continue to grow Nektan’s B2B software division, deals such as this highlight how our proprietary technology is fit for purpose in emerging markets all over the world.”
VP commercials, Jaydeep Chakravartty, adds:
“We’re thrilled to launch our E-Lite platform in Africa. As a nimble technology provider, we are able to efficiently integrate our content into large scale operator networks across the globe. Betika and BetLion will now be able to offer their customers a wide range of increasingly popular casino games.”
Nektan has named Simon Hay, former GVC official, company's new Chief Financial Officer in June...
...he began working on his new role on June 17th and his international expertise will be of great value to the team that expands into new territories and provides gaming and casino brands with their technology and premium content.
The company's CEO, Lucy Buckley, said that Hay's appointment comes at a time of rapid growth and path to sustained profitability.
South African online casino, Thunderbolt, has commenced a 67 Campaign effort that will deliver food packages to 67 malnourished children in this country.
This annual campaign is relying on the good will of South Africans to help and donate in order to relieve the lives of youngsters.
Thunderbolt Casino manager said that it “feels good to do for others and that the casino is very happy they're able to contribute to the campaign this year, thanks to valued customers.”
