Only one week after the launch of its latest slot release in collaboration with partner studio, Just For The Win, privately held Isle of Man-based software development company, Microgaming is back with one of its most popular game worlds – Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin.
The modern classic was once again developed in partnership with Triple Edge Studios and it takes us to the second chapter of the highly acclaimed Book of Oz series. Packed with 5 reels and 10 paylines, this high volatility online slot carries the magic from the previous installment released in December 2018, only this time, the gameplay has been upgraded with new tricks: Hyperspins Lock ‘N Spin and 2nd Chance.
To achieve massive wins and unleash the full power of Hyperspins Lock ‘N Spin feature within the base game, players will have to lock up to four reels and respin. This mode can even trigger the extra spin round, while locking reels give everyone a chance to land five Book Scatter symbols and earn mind-blowing prizes.
In addition, finding three or more Book symbols, which act as both a wild and scatter, will activate Extra Spins, giving players either 10, 12 or 25 extra rounds. The mighty Book of Oz even throws in a special symbol that can expand on the reels during extra spins and multiply all wins.
Another important feature to keep in mind during base play is 2nd Chance where players are presented with two options – to keep the original symbol or reshuffle and upgrade their special expanding symbol. This feature can increase all potential wins up to 5,000 times the original bet! However, the excitement grows further upon landing three or more Book symbols within the extra spins session – new spins are added to expand the round, making room for an entirely rewarding adventure through the magical world of Oz.
These are the exact words of Brendan Walton, design lead at Triple Edge, who expressed his opinion on the latest creation from his team before rolling out the game with exclusive Microgaming operators. Walton said that the Hyperspins Lock ‘N Spin and 2nd Chance features “provide another dimension of appeal to the overall gameplay, offering a highly entertaining experience and great win potential.”
Director of global operations at Microgaming, James Buchanan, who recently posted a comment about the fifteenth game by JFTW, Tweethearts, also issued a statement about the latest slot title from Triple Edge:
“Following the success of the hugely popular Book of Oz, Triple Edge Studios have successfully created an enchanting sequel in Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin. Elevating the original with even more exciting and rewarding features, including Hyperspins™ Lock ‘N Spin and 2nd Chance feature within free spins. Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin offers players high-volatility action and the potential for great rewards.”
In the previous period, the development company introduced Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, Zeus Ancient Fortunes and Bookie of Odds ReelBet.
