March at Play'n GO Continues with Arthurian Adventure The Green Knight

Back

As we excitedly await more releases from Play’n GO in Q1, the supplier doesn’t stop to amaze us and its target audience by delivering the first slot title of March, an Arthurian adventure called The Green Knight.

The second release in the series, following Lord Merlin & The Lady of the Lake, revolves around a famous story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This tale is based on chivalry (read bravery) and it shares a lot with The Sword & the Grail as well as Dragon Maiden.

Focus on the Exposure

By continuing the chivalry genre, Play’n GO has expanded its established narrative and given it a unique twist. The game features a perfect story for a slot adventurer – not only does it expand the universe of the series, The Green Knight introduces players to a whole new set of secondary characters, enriched with their own stories to tell.

Also, instead of relying on famous historical figures such as King Arthur and Lancelot, the provider based its latest video slot around a medieval poem and added a certain depth and context to the gameplay.

Sir Gawain was, in fact, King Arthur’s nephew, and one of the round table knights. Aside from challenging the court dressed as a dark green giant knight, Sir Gawain proved his bravery and now invites the players to do the same in a volatile medieval environment.

Although it is part of a highly popular series from Play’n GO, which is closely linked to the above-mentioned titles, this installment has a slightly different focus and potential. Thanks to a refreshing approach to the Middle Age slots line up, customers will experience something new and perhaps change their view on all upcoming titles in this style.

According to the provider, the focus here is on the potential. The first release in March is capable of cashing out 10,000x total bet, while players may also receive a guaranteed spin with a x100 multiplier in the honorary spins round. Moreover, the possibility of triggering Shield Spins with a x100 multiplier also gives a chance for gaining huge wins.

“We are always looking to innovate; be that varying the shapes of the grid, introducing new features, or playing with different themes too,” said CPO Martin Zettergren after the launch.

He added that the company constantly explores new narratives to bring fresh ideas into the market. While other providers may overlook this perspective, Play’n GO believes that the story is an integral part of entertainment. Zettergren concluded by saying:

“You look at any popular game, film, or book, and the foundation is telling a great story. Once you have that, you can build a great game around it, and anything is possible.”

What Comes Next

Since we’re used to an increased production level at Play’n GO, whose assembly line delivers between 4 to 5 slots a month, it is well worth mentioning what’s behind the corner this Spring.

After the launch of The Green Knight, we can also expect Shimmering Woods and House of Doom 2! That’s right, the provider’s highly successful horror game is back in a new format featuring a good mix of special features, three types of modifiers, extra spins and expanding wilds.

Scheduled for April are Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead, Court of Hearts, Fire Joker Freeze and Fire Toad.
