With a string of suspicious casino sites under the magnifying glass as of recent, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is maintaining that it has no affiliation with any of them. The sites in question, include: Caesarcrown.com, Casino-royal.net, Diamond-777.com, Explosionbet.com, Fortunepub.com, Greatway-casino.net, Lucky-play.net, Play-azart.com, Winner-bet.com, and Wpcasino.net.
The sites are being targeted for CLAIMING that they held licenses from Malta’s Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA), its previous name, before becoming MGA two years ago, with many of the licenses dating back to five years ago.
At this time, Winner-bet.com is not currently accessible, however, the remaining sites are. GreatWay is a Malta-based domain, and is operated by TEM Group Ltd, while Fortunepub.com and Wpcasino.net are owned by Nordic Gaming/Bremor Holding, also Malta-based. On the other hand, Play-azart, and Casino-royal.net have reported being owned by Williambet Anjouan, with licenses from the Anjouan Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
Remaining sites such as Caesarcrown.com, Diamond-777, and Explosionbet have removed any affiliation with Malta from their pages, and are claiming to have licenses from the Government of Curacao, with Diamond-777 also claiming to have a license from the UK Gambling.
As a result of the claims, Rival gaming regulators in Belgium have been investigating MGA, accusing it of “disrespect” toward the country’s online gaming blacklist. Two representatives from the MGA have been invited to speak at the Belgian Gaming Commission (BGC), and needless to say, alternative speakers may be taking their place.
