Online gaming software supplier, Tom Horn Gaming, has introduced its brand-new slot release, La Tomatina.
The 5x4 configuration adventure invites players to action with big win potentials and colorful backdrops inspired by the Spanish festival La Tomatina, which takes place every year in the town of Bunol.
If you’re not familiar with La Tomatina festival, it basically involves a bunch of local residents just going at each other with tons of tomato. You could say they are, quite literally, painting the town red.
The game follows two of these Spain’s locals, Fernando, and Sergio, as they embark on a messy journey in this medium volatility game that doesn’t lack in enthralling features. There are sticky respins, extra spins, and flux spins.
Each of the two main protagonists activates a different feature. Fernando triggers the flux spins by throwing red tomatoes. When they land on the reels, they become wilds. The new tomato that occupies one more position on the reels moves vertically towards the bottom. Once the tomato reaches the final row, the feature ends.
Tomatoes Away!
Sergio, on the other hand, is responsible for activating the respin feature. The more yellow tomatoes land on the reels, the more respins are awarded.
When the reels get covered in yellow tomatoes, players can play the extra spins mode in which they can pick the feature they prefer to activate, either sticky respins or flux spins. In the event of any of these, players have 10 non-retriggerable extra spins they can use, while Wilds multiply the winning combos by 2x.
CEO at Tom Horn Gaming, Ondrej Lapides, says this about the release:
“La Tomatina is another fantastic addition to our expanding games portfolio. Its vibrant atmosphere, engaging Spanish tunes, and exciting features will definitely hit the sweet spot of players in many geographic markets. With every new title we always strive to introduce a new exciting story and feature concept that provides players with an immersive, well-rounded experience. We believe we have achieved this in La Tomatina and we can’t wait to see how the game performs.”
