Fantasma Games to Join Yggdrasil Game Server Masters

Back

Innovative gaming solutions supplier, Yggdrasil, has announced its third studio partnership – with Fantasma Games. The first games will be launched in 2019 and made available to all Yggdrasil’s operators.

“Nurturing Their Creative Ideas”

Head of Studio Partnerships at Yggdrasil, Stuart McCarthy, says the company is looking forward to working with “this talented team where we actively will be engaged in nurturing their creative ideas and bringing exciting new content to the market.”

“We have been impressed with what we have seen on their roadmap and believe this cooperation will bring excellent added value to our clients. Combining Fantasma’s strong content with our extensive market penetration is a winning concept. This long-term relationship marks a great step for YGS masters as we continue to add world-class game developer teams to our program”, McCarthy concludes.

CEO of Fantasma Games, Fredrik Johansson, has said on his company’s end:

“We are passionate about creating slots beyond gambling and that are heavily inspired by gaming. By joining the Yggdrasil Masters Program we have a great opportunity to make our games even better and to expand our reach among the best operators in Europe. We are excited to begin this cooperation and to further develop our ideas with Yggdrasil as the leader in slot innovation. We are confident this will take Fantasma Games to new heights.”

YGS Masters: a “Hugely Exciting Development”

Back in March, the supplier launched its Yggdrasil Game Server (YGS) Masters, inviting independent games studios to develop game titles on the platform.

It is an invite-only, semi-open platform planned to curate content from the leading independent games studios. YGS Masters is led by McCarthy, who joined Yggdrasil for that very purpose, after previously having worked for BetClic and NYX as a Product Manager for OGS.

The platform provides access to BOOST™, Yggdrasil’s collection of in-game promotional tools. These can be developed further by the partners, who may offer their own versions to their clients. Notably, BOOST comes with the ability to run network campaigns.

Yggdrasil CEO, Fredrik Elmqvist, says about the platform:

“YGS Masters is a strategic initiative in reaction to gaming’s increasingly fragmented value chain. With direct integrations scarce, independent suppliers require the support of an established partner with forward-leaning technology. Operators and game studios alike have been crying out for years for a modern, open platform that offers the power and flexibility of BOOST™ and the broad market penetration that Yggdrasil has amassed.”

Elmqvist defines YGS Masters as a “hugely exciting development for the gaming industry,” adding he is “immensely proud” to be leading it.
