The United Arab Emirates have a very particular goal, set to be accomplished by 2020: they aim to become the first blockchain-powered country on the planet. So it's no wonder that one of the most important blockchain-related events in the world are being held there – which will help them achieve this objective, while also strengthening and reinforcing the global blockchain community as well.
On April 16th and 17th, a World Blockchain Forum (WBF) conference will be held in Dubai, the unofficial capital of the world when it comes to innovation in technology and architecture. The conference will present an opportunity for innovators, experts, financial moguls and everyone in between to offer their insight into what will constitute the future of finance.
Among speakers making their appearance at this year's WBF are: Dr. Noah Raford of Dubai Future Foundations, the co-founder of Bitoasis Ola Oudin, Consensys' Vanessa Grellet, Harry Yeh of Binaru Financial, Director of the Cybercrime Department and Criminal Investigation Dept at police of Dubai Saeed M. Alhajri, Mohammed Shael Al Saadi, the CEO of Strategic Affairs at Department of Economic Development and many others.
They will all gather to discuss cryptocurrency solutions, ICO, crowdfunding models, startups who aim to change the world of finance and the tokenized economy. Aside from speeches, the two-day event will also feature exhibits as well as Bitcoin and token sales.
Tickets for the event can already be purchased and they hold an entry to the event itself, as well as catering, breaks and access to exhibit halls.
