Daily fantasy sports operator, DraftKings has extended into the eSports market with the League of Legends World Championship, starting in October.
The market leader has also revealed six new deals with eSport teams for in-event promotions and eSports marketing.
According to Superdata research stats, the eSports market is most popular in the Asia-Pacific region with annual profits of approximately $600 million.
DraftKings chief revenue officer Matt Kalish gave Re/code the following comment this week: "We certainly have global ambitions here and want to be operating in as many countries as possible and as quickly as possible. The long game here is really tied in more with our international strategy."
