This June, the WRB Africa Briefing 2017, is scheduled to take place in Kenya, and will see BtoBet meeting with African operators in Nairobi. The event is comprised of two full days of conferences, planned for June 7th and 8th, specifically in Villa Rosa Kempinski, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Nairobi’s business center.

The event provides a platform for authorities, operators, and international specialists within the gaming industry, to congregate and hash out tactics for successfully profiting from Africa’s FAST-GROWING market. Previously, the continent’s market has been primarily land based, but as of recent, the mobile gaming sector has seen a spike, with 60% of mobile sales in Easter Africa, being smartphones. In comparison to the rest of the world, which is at 52%, mobile penetration in Africa is at a significantly higher percentage of 72.

BtoBet will take part in two panels, occurring on June 7th: The big move: retail to online AND Maximising your retail business. Additionally, those in attendance can expect the brand’s founder and chairman, Alessandro Fried, to express his thoughts on the most successful way to make the transition from retail to mobile. Further topics Fried will address, include how to maximize retail business across the continent, managing alternative payment systems, and selecting market solutions to support cross-player experience.

Fried commented, “Entering a specific African market requires precise analysis. African countries all take different approaches to the regulation and oversight of their gambling markets. This continent is an extremely promising market for mobile sports-betting operators. With due attention being paid to the particular needs of each local market, operators can equip themselves to be able to provide the right tools and technology to profit from the enormous opportunities that present themselves across the continent.”
