In a desperate search for the world's number 1 maker of the popular cryptocurrency known as the Bitcoin, some news magazines have gone too far by taking the liberty of misidentifying an average Japanese-American as its inventor. A 64-year-old individual, named Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, was an ordinary man up until 2014, when his house got besieged by a swarm of journalists from all parts of the country, who believed to have successfully revealed his identity.
However, the truth about this average man with a debatable name is quite different; not only has he never heard of BTC and other digital currencies, but also had to go through hell because of the heavy media exposure, along with his 93-year-old mother, siblings and other family members. This model train hobbyist and substitute teacher has had his share of trouble in finding a job over the last decade, often ending up as a laborer and poll-taker.
Nonetheless, once causing him nothing but grief, the cryptocurrency has changed his perception of life in many ways. Although he got off on the wrong foot with media, due to some health issues, he now even shows up at Bitcoin Conferences and seems to enjoy the status of “fake” Satoshi by attending interviews with the event’s organizers.
So, how did a once misidentified person become so interested in the world’s hottest digital currency? Apparently, after a fundraiser by one of the currency’s supporters, there has been a change in Nakamoto’s personal views, which were directly influenced by his financial status. After his “Nope” reaction face and a massive number of memes all over the Internet, things just kept getting better for the old man. His face can now be seen on t-shirts, telegram stickers, news sites and other mediums.
A total sum of 67 Bitcoins has been collected after an army of community contributors sent its largest slack, followed by other donations that didn’t stop pouring in. Dorian is thankful for their support in a YouTube video, stating that he would keep his account for many years to come.
The original Satoshi remains a complete mystery up to this day, since the entire future and stability of the currency depends on it. Most likely, it is a group of individuals rather than a single person, but for Dorian it turned out to be a lovely chapter of his life in his 70s. While talking about the discomfort he had to face for being interpreted as the creator of Bitcoin, Mr. Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto had also experienced fun in the whole process and changed how we look at the identity of the world’s most shadowy billionaire.
