Customers have spoken and their votes reveal that Caesars Entertainment’s biggest rival in Las Vegas, MGM Resorts, owns the worst resorts in Sin City.
Yelp ratings place MGM's Circus Circus at the top of the worst list with Flamingo Las Vegas coming in second based on Trip Advisor ratings. Other MGM properties with poor customer ratings include Excalibur and Luxor.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, customers have given Wynn Resorts, Palazzo and the Las Vegas Sands’ Venetian great feedback and ratings. Vegas visitors can expect to pay the highest prices in terms of accommodations and other resort amenities. Why? Because the reputation allows them to charge more.
It would cost billions to fix the older casinos like Circus Circus, Excalibur and Luxor. Why put all this money into the resorts when MGM can continue to get money out of them until they shut down and the company can put those dollars toward a brand new casino resort.
Sadly, this seems to be the trend of Las Vegas. Casinos are driven into the ground and when there’s nothing left, the next major resort is built. It’s for this reason that the magic of old Vegas has been lost.
