Senior positions occupied by industry veterans
Two new senior appointments have been made by Scientific Games Corporation in its gaming division, which includes The Global Draw, Barcrest and Games Media.
The two include Michael Koch, who has been appointed managing director of International Business for the Gaming division, and Gareth Philips, who will take the position of chief technology officer (CTO) in the same division.
On his new position, Koch will be in charge of growth strategies and gaming operations on an International level. Prior to this, he was CEO of Ace Interactive and he also held senior executive positions at GTech and Wincor Nixdorf.
As for Philips, he will be responsible for driving the group's technology strategy. Before joining The Global Draw in 2010, Philips served as the CTO of Aristocrat Technologies.
Regarding the new appointments, Ian Timmis, chief executive officer for Scientific Games’ Gaming division, said: “Both Michael and Gareth have brought extensive knowledge and experience to the business since they joined, helping us to cement relationships with key partners and develop tailored solutions for customers in regions such as Latin America and the Caribbean.
