Mazooma the latest one to join Novomatic group

The latest news from the giant Austrian gambling equipment and games supply group Novomatic is that it has acquired internet games software developer Mazooma along with the UK's largest gaming machine operator Gamestec, Bell-Fruit Games and RLMS.

With this acquisition, Mazooma joins the Greentube online games development company, which was acquired by Novomatic in its native Austria. These moves are believed to represent yet another evidence of the convergence of land and online interests.

Apparently, the deal still needs to be investigated by the UK Office of Fair Trading, which is expected to be done in around six to eight weeks.

After that, Novomatic, which already had a partnership with Gamestec, will be able to benefit from Mazooma Interactive’s offering, which includes popular games content and a wide range of top online gambling operators on its client list.

In addition, an announcement came from Leeds-based Gamestec that it is to launch its Gamestec Digital division in partnership with Astra Games Limited, a subsidiary of Austrian Gaming Industries (AGI) and part of the Novomatic Group.
