Air passenger services to receive a big boost

It has been announced this week by president of the Macau Civil Aviation Authority, Simon Chan Weng Hong, that the former Portuguese enclave plans a big upgrade of Macau International Airport, which will improve access to the fastest growing gambling paradise in the world.

The plan to develop and improve airport services will enable the airport to serve 7.1 million passengers annually by 2020, increasing by a further 7.9 million passengers by 2030.

In 2010, Macau International Airport's recorded 4.08 million passengers, which is by 4 percent lower than in 2009.
