Genera to supply games for video terminals
It has been reported this week that two major companies, Genera Networks and Norwegian Norsk Tipping have closed a deal, which will make Genera Networks a preferred Game Provider for Multix, the Interactive Video Terminal (IVT) platform.
The three-year deal, which can be extended by another year, will see Genera become Norsk Tipping’s supplier of high-performance games optimized for the Norwegian market. The games will be provided by Genera Networks’ partners, Microgaming and Sweden's Play’n GO, and they will be available from Q3 2011 in as much as three thousand IVT terminals in Norway.
According to Genera Networks CEO Jan Stocklassa, “We are very pleased to be chosen as a preferred game provider for Norsk Tipping. It proves that it’s not about size in the regulated market, but about understanding the requirements of the lotteries and managing the process.”
On the other side, his counterpart from Norsk Tipping, Torbjørn Almlid, expressed satisfaction with the new deal: “This marks a new era for Norsk Tipping and Multix. It is important for us to offer exciting and entertaining games that meet the expectations of customers playing Multix. We aim to continue our success with Multix and keep generating profits for good causes while minimizing problem gambling. Genera Networks’ dedication and knowledge bodes well for our future co-operation and we have high expectations for this partnership.”
