While some of the latest films are being converted into Slot Games, some of us are not willing to leave the old classics behind. Movies spark emotion in us all and some create unforgettable memories, which is why it can be so thrilling to find our favorite actors and characters transferred onto spinning reels. In no particular order, let's take a look at 10 great blockbuster movie themed Slots based on silver screen classics.
1.Beetlejuice
Michael Keaton absolutely slayed the role of Beetlejuice, released in 1988. Directed by Tim Burton, the film featured his signature dark yet colorfully entertaining style. Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam (Alec Baldwin) don't realize they're dead so when a new family, the Deetz clan, moves into their home they are keen to scare them away. When their hauntings fail to shoo them away, they enlist the help of Beetlejuice, the Bio-Exorcist, despite warnings from their case worker from the other side, Juno.
The vibrant colors are captured in WMS' version of Beetlejuice featuring a 6x9 reel set. The cast takes to the reels, which include oversized symbols awarding a 5x multiplier. Call upon BEETLEJUICE 3 times to launch a Wheel spin featuring four different mini-bonuses. This video slot is packed with features, wilds, multipliers and the infamous dinner scene accompanied by Harry Belafonte's Banana Boat Song. Day-O!
2.The Wizard of Oz
Judy Garland starred in the 1939 film as Dorothy. Shirley Temple was originally up for the part, which would be quite hard to imagine now. As she journeys down the yellow brick road in her ruby slippers, Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman, who accompany her to see the Wizard.
Somewhere over the rainbow WMS launched the first Slot in its series of WOZ themed games. The Wizard of Oz 30-line Video Slot launched in land based casinos and debuted online for the first time with Jackpot Party Casino, which is now SlotsMagic. Both Dorothy's friends and foes make appearances on the reels and in the bonus features. When three logo symbols appear, the player is prompted to select one to reveal The Winged Monkey Feature, Road to Emerald City Feature or a coin value. Even Glinda the Good Witch of the North pops in for a visit as she floats down in her pink bubble to award wilds reels. Subsequent slots include Wicked Witch of the West, Journey to Oz, The Road to Emerald City, Ruby Slippers, Ruby Slippers 2, Not in Kansas Anymore and Haunted Forest.
3.Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
A scrumdidilyumptious movie based on a chocolate bar and a wish was released in 1971. Willy Wonka is an eccentric candy maker who lives in a magical factory complete with Oompa Loompas. The Slot features 40 paylines and has several unique bonuses. The bonus round is triggered by three Wonkavator symbols. You'll burst through the glass ceiling and head straight for one of several features including the Gobstopper Pick Bonus, Grandpa Joe free spins, cash prizes and much more. The best bonus feature is the Chocolate River Boat ride. You'll enter the trippy tunnel and snag prizes along the way. The Oompa Loompa feature is randomly triggered during any regular spin. You'll hear the sound of their classic song as they award growing and wild reels.
4.Rocky
Boxer Rocky Balboa fought the heavy weight champ, Apollo Creed, and several sequels to the original 1976 film, Rocky. Thanks to this film you can think of nothing but the infamous stair scene whenever you hear Eye of the Tiger or shout when you meet someone named Adrian.

5.Top Gun
Tom Cruise jetted across screens in 1986 as a US Naval Aviator known as Maverick in Top Gun. Playtech released its Top Gun Video Slot in November 2015, just before the film's 30th anniversary. Fly F-14 fighter jets, launch missiles and trigger big payouts with Dog Fight Wilds in the 243 ways game. Pete ‘Maverick' Mitchell isn't alone as Playtech ensures that he had his wingman, Goose, right by his side. The Slot includes film clips to add to its authenticity and fans of the film will be pleased to hear that there was talk of a sequel as 2016 marked 30 years since the movie debuted.
6.Gremlins
The 1980's were a popular time for movies and Gremlins left quite an impression in 1984. A father brings home an interesting little creature to his son Billy. The Mogwai, named Gizmo, comes with three very important rules – he can't eat after midnight, he can't get wet and he must not be exposed to bright light. Of course Gizmo gets his hands on some chicken after midnight and this is where the Gremlins start to take over. WMS' Slot captures the essence of the film with Gremlin Multiplying Features, Gremlins Free Spins Bonus and a variety of wilds. The game may be played in Gizmo or Gremlins mode, each offering a different look and feel to the reels.

In 1980 Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield took to The Bushwood Country Club golf course in the comedy Caddyshack. There's plenty of antics happening on the green including a hilarious side story involving Murray's character, Carl Spackler, and a tricky little gopher. The Caddyshack Video Slot by WMS features a 3x3 reel design with several of the characters including the gopher. He's wild and can trigger the Ballroom Busters Bonus plus a Slimer is busy with a few base game features. The Stay Puft Free Spins Bonus sees flaming marshmallows fall from above and lock into place on the reels. This is perhaps the most lucrative and most infrequently triggered feature of the game. The Stay Puft Bonus, progressive jackpots and the nostalgia associated with the film keep us all calling Ghostbusters.
9.Scarface
Who doesn't recognize Al Pacino as the iconic Tony Montana in Scarface from 1983? He plays a roughneck from Cuba who leads a violent life of crime in Miami who says “I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.”
NetEnt introduced its licensed 20-line video slot in 2012. While some players were drawn to the theme others were put off by the violence. Michelle Pfeiffer's character, Elvira Hancock, joins Tony Montana on the reels to bring players Nudge Wilds, free spins and a bonus game complete with machine guns.
10.Aliens
Alien hit theaters in 1979 and by 1986 Alien colonized the planet. Directed by James Cameron, this series of films is Sigourney Weaver's most memorable role. As Ellen Ripley, Weaver has been asleep in cryogenic stasis only to awaken 57 years later and find that no one believes her terrifying stories of the alien encounter. Now there's more than just one extraterrestrial killer on the loose. In cooperation with 20th Century Fox, NetEnt developed a video slot based on the sequel, Aliens.
