Theme
The background is a study of some sort, with some books and potions to fill up space. On the screen, you have a grid, which apparently takes the role of the mystery box. The symbols are themed to meet the standards of some sort of magical apparatuses, with some neutral symbols thrown in for good measure.
Boxes, keys, scrolls and the lot are quite well done, though there could have been a bit more animations added to the symbols. Music and sound effects are not impressive, but still better than nothing.
Betting Options and Functions
The playing area is four times four grid, meaning that there are sixteen symbols on the screen at any time. Whenever there are enough instance of matching symbols the player is credited a prize. There are no paylines or reels, so bet is set by simply selecting a total bet between 0.20 and 100 coins.
A minimum of three matching symbols are needed for a win, and the maximum payout comes from 16 matching symbols. Whenever you get a win a re-spin is launched…
…and this continues as long as new combinations are formed or new symbols are added to the existing ones.
The payouts are quite low for smaller combos, but from seven symbol combos onwards they go up quite significantly. The top prize is one thousand times the total bet.
Features
When you have five bonus symbols on the screen the bonus feature will activate. This is really only achievable with some lucky re-spins, as the bonus chests will stay on the grid for the duration of these.
Once the feature launches the payer is presented with four chest. You need to choose and open one of these, after which you will be credited with the win multiplier that is within.
The multipliers range between 10 and 1000 times the original win, which means that with some luck you can cash out immediately.
Our Take
This game suffers from pretty high volatility, even if the RTP is decent. There are also not really any special features that would make spin for longer playthroughs. The idea with the cluster symbols is quite nice, and a welcome change to a traditional slot.
