Midway Madness is totally based upon the fun fare, you’ll notice that a carnival worker can be seen besides the reels and that the whole slot has been designed to look like an authentic big wheel.

The reels contain a variety of themed icons such as bumper cars, log flumes, big wheels, candy apples, skeet ball and a variety of classic icons (9 to A). Many of these are animated and trigger added features, we’ll talk more about this later.

There’s a few bespoke sound effects to listen out for too. These make up for the somewhat annoying ‘ding ding ding’ that is played during every spin. Thankfully there is a handy mute button if you are as easily irritated in the audible department as me.

Midway Madness Slot Features

Midway Madness offers a wild symbol in the form of a jolly clown. This happy go lucky chap can only appear on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels but is capable of counting as any regular reel icon.

As this is an I-slot you are treated three free spin bonus games. The first is triggered by the 'admit 1' stub, the second by the fortune teller and the third by the candy apple. You'll need three of these icons (during the respective trigger phase) to win 5 free spins with triple multipliers. You'll win 10 or 25 free spins when four or five scatters trigger the feature respectively; again these spins benefit from triple multipliers.

There's three bonus games too that are unlocked after each one has been completed. The first round is triggered when three or more bumper cars appear on screen. This round challenges you to be the first car to collect 8 coins. You'll be up against two other cars, so there's some element of skill to winning the round and the largest prize with the victory.

A second game is triggered when 3 skeet ball icons appear. You'll toss five balls up the ramp and receive a multiplier prize equal to the number of points gained.

The final bonus game is triggered when three or more candy apple icons appear. This round also requires skill and cunning as you aim to catch as many falling scoops of ice cream as you can. Your prize is based upon the number of scoops caught, so concentrate and you'll be sure to win bigger prizes.

Our Take on Midway Madness

Midway Madness is great and certainly makes a strong case for multi-level iSlots. We thought the variety of bonus rounds really made things more exciting and think it will provide this slot with longevity over competing games.
