Theme and Symbols

It’s not just clocks on the reels if that’s what you’re thinking. Time opens up as a window to the universe with...well, there are some timepieces on the reels, but of a bit more ancient make...other symbols include the joker, as well as some classic fruits and berries.

The audio effects are pretty overpowering, so you might want to turn the volume down just a bit so as not to be overwhelmed by them. Still excellent, just very heavy. Animations are not too heavy on the other hand, mostly adding a bit of fun on the reels.

Betting Options and Functions

It’s a simple setup of three reels with three symbols a piece. To go with that are five paylines, all of which pay from left to right.

Volatility is set to medium, which results in smaller wins dropping by quite often. As the bet is low (up to your how much you bet per line of course) this creates a very nice balance.

Prizes are obviously paid for three symbol combos only. The cherries pay double your line bet, whereas the fancy watches pay 20 times the line bet. The prizes are not massive, which leads us to the special features...

Features

On any spin, and we do mean on any spin, you can get a random multiplier between two and ten. This alone ups the game considerably, even if completely randomly. But then, all slots are completely random.

Likewise, you can also activate a super multiplier. This is the same as above, except everything is doubled further...making the range of multipliers from four to twenty!

All symbols can appear as a stack. This simply means that all positions on the reel are held by the same symbol. If these symbols are on two reels, and they don’t form a win they will automatically launch a respin. If there is a multiplier active then we get to the best features the game offers. These will keep on rolling until you win:

• Spins of the Future

Triggered with x2 multiplier. For every respin the multiplier grows higher.

• Spins of the Present

Triggered with x3, x4, and x5 multipliers. During these respins the multiplier is always the same.

• Spins of the Past

Triggered with x10 multiplier. For these the multiplier decreases on every respin.

The super multipliers work the same as above, except with even higher wins.

Our Take

Chronos Joker is a superb slot. There’s no way around it. There’s nothing for Play’n Go to do better here. It combines the best parts of classic slots with limited paylines and smaller reels with the sort of bonus features that can make even medium variance wins massive.
