You need more than a day to actually spend time through it all. Poker room has many games going. The hotel is fantastic. Great rooms at great prices. It's easy to build up reward points using the players card to help pay for drinks and food.

Played here for years, but dont ever do something out of line with the casino staff, management or security or they will have no problem banning you for a year, with no explination given and no idea what a person did. Played here for years, but dont ever do something out of line with the casino staff, management or security or they will have no problem banning you for a year, with no explination given and no idea what a person did. Even your 7stars host (Top VIP for Ceasers) cant help or explain it. Plus side, their rewards program is pretty good. Dont ever let someone see you type your pin, dont ever leave your card lying around. Changing your pin at one place doesn't change it across all Ceasers. Someone stole my rewards card and blew 5,000$ just before i was going to Vegas on my free trip. worthless as they wouldn't help me at all and I still suspect they will ban you for questioning their authority. Its cool by me, Ameristar across the street is much more affordable for table games (10$-15$ blackjack vs 50$ blackjack) Only play the high limits slot if you want a handpay, best is latelate night sunday, really monday, after a busy weekend.

I stopped over at this casino for a good amount of hours during my travel from Colorado to Illinois. It was a good way to kill some time. The casino is decent in size and has a nice feel to it.

First hand experience, would tell that security is their first priority here, by the fact you have to go thru a security turn style just to get in. Then if you have to get IDed, be prepared to answer questions that hopefully you would know off your drivers license. Then you'd know your at the Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, IA. From the outside and inside, I love the umm the bright casino, yet honestly I think they've used a little bit too much white here. The place is clean, but during an Iowa winter, the outside white exterior can't be much fun to maintain. Then let's talk about the players booth location, it's located all the way in the back of the casino. I guess I'm used to most players clubs being located up front, near the majority of the parking. Versus back by the dog track. So to me that's a major minus especially if your in the elderly crowd or just plain lazy crowd and don't want to trek just to get a players card. Plus the having to play $5 thru a slot, or $10 thru any card based slot seems a bit steep to get cashback out of this place. Let's also not forget it's not 1 point here equal 1 penny either. It's 2 points equals 1 penny in real cash. Otherwise they want you to redeem your points for comps, not cash really. They have a whole load of slots, from the penny slots to a $100 machine that'll take 2 $100 if you want it to. Yet from my experience with them. Don't expect any major wins here. Not that I'm not saying I don't see a jackpot go off from time to time. Yet I can't even get the slots to turn around here. Now with the tables games, I do enjoy there rapid roulette system. Where you place your bets on an electronic betting screen. Then their's a real dealer in the middle of all of the betting screens. Spinning the ball on a real roulette table every 50 seconds. Talk about fast paced roulette. Hopefully your winning or at least have a decent bankroll. They also have plenty of blackjack tables, through out the week, they carry a few $5 tables, and then mostly $10 and up a hand blackjack tables. Then on the weekend forget about the budget minded blackjack player, they want at least $10. The big thing compensating this place. Is if you do want to place the bet on there tables, they'll let you with the highest limits in Iowa. At $25,000 a hand, yep they'll let you bet that high. The largest bet I've seen taken on a blackjack or mini bac table, was $5,000. So this by far is the only place that will let you lay the bet. The buffet was average, I wasn't a huge fan of it. The cafe was nice, a bit pricey, but the food was good. The race track food stand also had some pretty decent food on it. The dog track offered live races and lots of simultaneous races on it. Never really won anything betting the dogs, but it sure was a fun way to make a little bit of money last a long time. Especially if your getting beat up in the casino. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Caesar Entertainment properties, the rewards system to me seems, really, really tight. Yet that's my opinion.
